Auswalk is a proudly Australian owned and operated business that has been delivering guided walks all over Australia for almost 30 years. An accredited advanced eco-tourism provider, we are passionate about the natural environments we operate in.
We are currently looking for guides based in Victoria, Western Australia or Tasmania. The right individuals will be passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. Offered on a casual basis, our guiding role will have you walking and working at locations all over Australia. Initially, we will have you guiding somewhere between 5 to 10 trips per year, so it would suit someone who is flexible. As time goes by there is scope to increase the number of trips to suit you. We are looking for both individuals and or couples.
The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Well-developed customer service, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Enjoy being with people
- Relevant bushwalking experience
- Willingness to learn about and ability to provide interpretation about the area, the flora, fauna, and history to guests
- Passion for nature, people and providing exceptional experiences
- Ability to maintain a clear view and professional approach in stressful situations
These are the mandatory qualifications:
- Light Rigid Licence
- Passenger Vehicle Approval / Accreditation
- First Aid (Preferred current Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00126))
- CPR mandatory
Successful candidates will be able to commence training early in 2023 and will be available for casual tour guide work thereafter.
